What makes us
different from the rest? Memory Central is not a big company
with a lot of employees. Each project gets the individual
attention of Bret Barton, our company's owner, and never gets neglected or put
aside for another project. We stand by our commitment to 100%
customer satisfaction. Bret personally
oversees every project ensuring you receive the highest
quality. Because of this, he is careful to limit the number of
projects he takes on so that your video is given the time it
deserves and meets the standards of quality and creativity you expect.
Who will edit my wedding video? Every
video is edited as if it will be put on our demo reel. A great
deal of time is spent on your video to make sure it meets the
standard which we place upon ourselves. Each video is edited
by Bret Barton, who will also be involved in shooting your
video. This is a big advantage to you knowing that your editor
is familiar with the shots and events that took place on your
wedding day.
What style of
editing do you use? Memory Central has a unique style of
shooting and editing. Our main focus is the couple. We
document their day in a creative, romantic, artistic style that will
not only cover the day's events, but help them remember the beauty
of their surroundings, and the romance and feelings that
existed. We incorporate all of our tools and expertise in
creating a timeless video for generations of family members to
enjoy.
How long does my
project take? Your project will take between 4-6 weeks for
completion. Memory Central uses a unique cinematic style of
editing which captures the personality and style of each
couple. Close to five hours of editing takes place for each
hour of video shot. In order to give you the video you
deserve, a lot of time and effort is put in to making your video a
special keepsake for you and your family.
What kind of
equipment do you use? All of our equipment is 100%
digital. We shoot your wedding on digital cameras, capture
that footage with digital decks and edit your video on non-linear
editing systems. This gives us the tools to manipulate and add
creativity to your video. It also means that the quality of
your video remains intact from the beginning of your project until
the very end, when you pick up your final DVD.
How will you work
with my photographer? We are known for our exceptional
service and will work side-by-side with your photographer until they
are all done. We will then take another 30-40 minutes to
capture some unique shots for your video.
Are your shots
staged? We take pride in our ability to capture you naturally
and relaxed. We do not stage shots. We will follow the
photographer and shoot while they are getting the formal
shots. While this is going on, our focus is on capturing the
natural and beautiful moments. What usually happens is throughout
the day, you begin to relax and don't even notice we are there.
Do I pick my own
music? We encourage you to choose your own music.
We are happy to suggest music that works but you will be the one
watching your video for years to come and we want the final decision
to be yours.
When do you need my
photos and music? We prefer to receive your photos and music
3-4 weeks before your wedding date. Please give us your photos
in the order you want them shown on your video. It is very
helpful if you number them on the back with a pencil or a sticky
note.
How do I reserve my
wedding date? Please call us at (801) 725-5885 to reserve
your date. If your date is available, we will promptly send
you our wedding agreement form, which will need to be returned with
a $300 non-refundable deposit. This will ensure your date gets
booked with us.
When do I pay for my
wedding video? A $300 deposit books your date. The remaining balance is due 7 days before
your wedding date.
I live outside of
Utah. Will you travel to shoot my wedding? Yes.
We love to travel and have shot many weddings and other projects out
of state. Our travel fees consist of all flight, driving, and
hotel arrangements. We also charge $150 per day to cover our
time. We will make sure to cover your wedding with great care
no matter where it takes place.
What if the video
camera quits working? Your wedding only takes place
once. We won't take a chance with that. On the very rare
occasion that an accident or malfunction does takes place, we will
always have a back-up camera on hand.
Should I have
mulitiple
cameras cover my wedding? Multiple camera coverage can add an
extra touch to your video. While the main camera covers the
events, a second camera can be shooting other important things
taking place at your wedding. Multiple cameras can definitely
add to your video.
Can I buy the raw
footage? Yes. Many couples enjoy having the raw footage
as well as their main video. We charge $75 per event put on
DVD.
